Here's the story of how it all began. My 4 year old daughter, Ashlyn also known as "Fancy Nancy" had to have some pink sparkly bows. For those of you who don't have a little girl, or don't know who Fancy Nancy is, she is a character in a book series. This little girl adds a little fancy to everything from her outfits to what she eats and how she talks. This pretty much somes up Ashlyn. She's always gotta wear a sparkly belt to ballet with her leotard and hot pink cowgirl boots or some sort of sparkly jewelry with every outfit. Or even sprinkles on what she eats. We started looking for some pink sparkly bows but couldn't find what we were looking for. We ended up settling for what we could find at the consignment shop. After looking for a while I decided I would make my own. I signed on to eBay and purchased two different instruction packets and started cranking out the bows.
The flip flops started when a friend of ours was wearing a pair of Swarovski encrusted Havenera flip flops. When I inquired on the cost I was in shock. I thought how me being a stay-at-home mom could justify spending that kind of money on a pair of FLIP FLOPS. So I set out to the web to find out just what I needed to make them myself. Needless to say I never found it. The adhesive secret is kept very safe. Nobody was willing to share what exactly they used to hold the hundreds of tiny crystals in place. I began playing around with the flip flops and came up with the idea of adding some bows to the bling I had applied and Voila! Bowdacious Bling flip flops were born......
